Q: What is the timeline for my upgrade?
A: Upgrades to the new service platform will take place during scheduled maintenance windows spanning over 2-3 weeks. Maintenance windows are scheduled during weekdays, between 12:00 AM – 6:00 AM CST. A second letter will be sent to inform you of the specific date that your upgrade will be scheduled.
Q: Can I choose the date and time for my service upgrade?
A: No, due to the technical requirements of the service upgrade and the number of customers involved, we are unable to honor any scheduling requests.
Q: What is a maintenance window?
A: A maintenance window is a planned time that is designated by technical staff to perform routine maintenance and upgrades on production systems and services. Maintenance windows are scheduled during times that are least disruptive to customers. TDS maintenance windows are scheduled during weekdays, between 12:00 AM – 6:00 AM CST.
Q: Will there be any downtime?
A: Please anticipate approximately 30-60 minutes of downtime during the scheduled maintenance window. This is the time needed to upgrade services to the new service platform.
Q: What if there is an issue and my service is not restored after the upgrade?
A; We don’t anticipate any issues with your service not being restored, but in the outside chance you need assistance, please call 888-850-5915.
Q: Do I need to get my phone system vendor involved?
A: No, the new service platform will not require any configuration changes to be made to your existing phone system.
Q: Will the pricing of my service change?
A: No, there will be no changes made to the pricing of your services.
Q: What is my username for logging into the new web portal?
A: If you are signing in as an administrator you can sign in using your existing username Example: "admin123456". Alternatively, you can simply enter the digits following admin entering "123456" as the username.
